Job Summary

A technology company has an open position for a Remote Informix Database Engineer.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for production support
  • Query performance optimization
  • Be responsible for implementing and maintaining backups

Skills and Requirements Include:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience with installations of Informix
  • Current knowledge of Informix 11.70x running on AIX with raw devices
  • Experience with performance monitoring and fine tuning of OLTP and DSS applications
  • Knowledge of database logging strategy and implementation
  • Experience with database migration methods and utilities
  • Ability to monitor system resources
