Job Summary

An organic food company has a current position open for a Remote Ingredients Sourcer and Buyer in Petaluma.

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Developing and implementing a strategy for procuring Raw or Pack materials
• Engaging suppliers to focus on quality supply assurance
• Working with Material Planning to ensure material is released

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) from four-year college or university or equivalent experience in Purchasing preferably in the food industry
• Technical level expertise in principals of procurement in a production environment
• Knowledge of sourcing packaging components
• Knowledge of organic growing practices and experience with quality control standards for organic field crops
