Job Summary

A health services company is in need of a Remote Initial Review Pharmacy Technician.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

Reviewing pertinent patient information and checks appropriateness using clinical criteria
Assisting with the documentation and implementation of both written and verbal communications
Escalating medical exception requests to nurse, pharmacist, or physician

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

Minimum of five years of pharmacy experience without a Bachelors degree OR
Two years of pharmacy experience with a Bachelors degree in Science, Health, Medical or related field
Must have an active pharmacy technician licensure or registration in accordance with state requirements
In-depth knowledge of specialty injectable prescription drugs, disease states, or health plan formulary
Experience as Pharmacy Technician, Utilization Management or Customer Service
Oncology pharmacy or other clinical pharmacy experience
