Job Summary

A health services company is in need of a Remote Initial Review Pharmacy Technician.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

• Reviewing pertinent patient information and checks appropriateness using clinical criteria
• Assisting with the documentation and implementation of both written and verbal communications
• Escalating medical exception requests to nurse, pharmacist, or physician

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• Minimum of five years of pharmacy experience without a Bachelors degree OR
• Two years of pharmacy experience with a Bachelors degree in Science, Health, Medical or related field
• Must have an active pharmacy technician licensure or registration in accordance with state requirements
• In-depth knowledge of specialty injectable prescription drugs, disease states, or health plan formulary
• Experience as Pharmacy Technician, Utilization Management or Customer Service
• Oncology pharmacy or other clinical pharmacy experience
