Job Summary

A full-service health information management company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Inpatient and Outpatient Medical Coder.

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Assigning and sequencing ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCs Level II diagnostic and procedural codes
• Reviewing physician documentation & coding for appropriateness and accuracy following coding guidelines
• Utilizing electronic medical record and computer-assisted coding (CAC) software or an encoder, depending on the client

Required Skills:

• Minimum of three years of coding experience
• Proficiency with Same-Day Surgery, Ortho, and Spinal Fusions
• 1+ year of Academic Medical Center/Trauma Center experience
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams
• Educated in HIPAA regulations
• Keen attention to detail to maintain 95% corporate quality standards
