Job Summary

A healthcare company has an open position for a Remote Inpatient Coder.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

• Reviewing Inpatient medical record of all payer types
• Abstracting and coding all required clinical and demographic data
• Maintaining current knowledge of the most recent ICD-9-CM/ICD-10 CM/PCS Official Guidelines

Required Skills:

• 5 years ICD-9 coding and DRG reimbursement experience in an acute care hospital
• Expert knowledge of MS-DRG methodology
• Expert knowledge of Severity of Illness and Risk of Mortality methodology
• Expert knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10 CM and PCS coding
• At least one CCS, RHIT, or RHIA required
