Job Summary

A healthcare company has a current position open for a Remote Inpatient Coder II in Des Moines.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Assigning codes for all diagnoses, treatments, and procedures
• Utilizing technical coding principles  and reimbursement expertise
• Abiding by the Standards of Ethical Coding

Qualifications for this position include:

• Completion of nationally recognized Coding Program
• At least 1-3 years of progressive on-the-job experience in an acute care setting
• Knowledge regarding MS-DRG’s,  and official coding guidelines
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding principles
• Requires knowledge of federal and local healthcare laws and regulations
• Knowledge in all coding applications relevant to area coding
