Job Summary

A healthcare company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Inpatient Coder in Los Angeles.

Must be able to:

• Adhere to Official Coding Guidelines, CMS policies and regulations and Medical Center's policies
• Ensure optimal reimbursement of all cases in compliance with CMS policies and procedures
• Assign ICD-10 and/or CPT/HCPCS codes, as appropriate and abstracts pertinent information from patient records

Required Skills:

• Must have experience in at least 5 different specialty chart types (profee)
• Must have a minimum of 3 years relevant coding experience
• Must hold at least one of the following certifications: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-H (COC)
• Computer proficiency required
• Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals
• Must be at least 18 years of age
