Job Summary
A managed care services provider has an open position for a Remote Inpatient Coder in Marietta.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Reviewing documentation in inpatient medical records
- Assigning the most accurate DRG/APC as appropriate
- Abstracting demographic information into the information system
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- High school graduate or possess a General Educational Development (GED) Diploma
- Completed course in anatomy and physiology
- Minimum of 5-7 years of acute care inpatient and/or IVR coding experience
- Must have and maintain a 95% or higher accuracy in abstracting
- Computer/data entry experience
- Other requirements as outlined in the job description
