Job Summary

A not-for-profit healthcare provider has an open position for a Remote Inpatient Coder in Marietta.

Must be able to:

• Review documentation in inpatient and/or IVR medical records
• Accurately and completely assign appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes
• Abstract demographic and coding information

Position Requirements Include:

• High School Education, GED or equivalent
• Completed course in anatomy and physiology
• Billing or Coding School Certification (RHIT, RHIA, CCS or CPC)
• 5-7 years of acute care inpatient and/or IVR coding experience
• Must have and maintain a 95% or higher accuracy in abstracting, code and DRG assignment
• Ability to use EXCEL, Word and have basic computer operational knowledge
