Remote Inpatient Coding Coordinator

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Coding Coordinator who will be responsible for coding and data collection in a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct timely prebill reviews and audits of inpatient medical records to ensure accurate coding
• Analyze clinical data to identify gaps in physician documentation and report trends for improvement
• Create educational materials and provide training to healthcare providers on documentation improvement

Required Qualifications

• RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification or equivalent certification/degree
• College credits in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Three years of coding experience in a Health Information Management Department or equivalent
• Experience with implementing and maintaining computer systems
