Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Facility HIMS Coding Quality Associate.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on coding and billing, ensuring compliance with guidelines and regulations
• Review medical records for coding accuracy and provide feedback for improvement
• Assist in training staff and maintaining consistency in coding practices across the organization

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or equivalent experience
• 5 years of recent experience in acute-care inpatient coding
• Current certification through AAPC or AHIMA (e.g., CCS, CIC, CPC)
• Thorough knowledge of ICD Coding and DRG/CPT coding principles
• Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
