Job Summary

A staffing agency has an open position for a Remote Inpatient Coding Specialist III in San Antonio.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Evaluating hospital inpatient medical record documentation
  • Assigning and editing the appropriate codes
  • Performing coding and/or code/DRG validation

Qualifications Include:

  • 2-3 years of acute care coding experience
  • RHIT, RHIA or CCS certification
  • Ability to apply all appropriate coding guidelines and criteria for code selections
