Job Summary
A Catholic non-profit healthcare system is seeking a Remote Inpatient Coding Specialist in Hartford.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Review and analysis of inpatient medical record documentation
- Apply ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS diagnosis and procedure codes to render appropriate reimbursement
- Focus on Medical and Surgical encounters
Qualifications for this position include:
- 2-5 years of acute care inpatient coding experience
- Extensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding conventions
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, federal regulations and policies pertaining to documentation and billing
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification
