Job Summary
A healthcare company is filling a position for a Remote Inpatient Coding Specialist in Pontiac.
Must be able to:
- Review medical record documentation concurrently or retrospectively
- Code and abstract diagnostic and procedural information
- Review and analyze the medical record documentation
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Must be familiar with encoding and grouper software
- Successfully demonstrate knowledge application using coding samples
- Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with the medical staff and hospital personnel
- Excellent customer service orientation skills
- Minimum of two years of work in a hospital coding environment
