Job Summary
A provider of HIM coding and consulting services is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Inpatient DRG Auditor.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Performing analysis of medical records and provider claims
- Ensuring that assigned codes and DRGs are supported by clinical documentation
- Applying Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting consistently and appropriately
Position Requirements Include:
- RHIA, RHIT, or CCS credential from AHIMA
- 3 or more years of DRG auditing experience
- Expertise in ICD-10-CM/PCS, IPPS/MS-DRG and APR-DRG methodology and logic
- Excellent knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS Official Guidelines
- Proficiency in identifying clinical indicators to support documented diagnoses
- Outstanding computer skills and ability to work in multiple client-specific healthcare systems
