Job Summary

A consulting firm is filling a position for a Remote Inpatient Medical Coder.

Core Responsibilities Include:

Review medical record documentation and assigns ICD-10-CM/PCS codes
Accurately assign present on admission indicator and the discharge disposition
Complete coding continuing education and maintains coding credentials

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

At least one of the following professional certifications: RHIT, CCS, RHIA
3+ years of inpatient coding experience
Proficiency in multiple EMR's, encoders, and the Microsoft Office suite
Excellent knowledge of payor and CMS coding policies and guidelines
Excellent medical terminology knowledge
Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English
