Job Summary

A consulting firm is filling a position for a Remote Inpatient Medical Coder.

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Review medical record documentation and assigns ICD-10-CM/PCS codes
• Accurately assign present on admission indicator and the discharge disposition
• Complete coding continuing education and maintains coding credentials

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

• At least one of the following professional certifications: RHIT, CCS, RHIA
• 3+ years of inpatient coding experience
• Proficiency in multiple EMR's, encoders, and the Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent knowledge of payor and CMS coding policies and guidelines
• Excellent medical terminology knowledge
• Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English
