Job Summary

A health insurance company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Inpatient Medical Coding Auditor.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Analyzing, entering and manipulating database
  • Responding to or clarifying internal requests for medical information
  • Making decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • RHIA, RHIT or CCS Certification
  • MS-DRG auditing experience
  • Minimum of 1 years' work experience reading and interpreting claims
  • 3 years’ experience in performing inpatient coding audits in health insurance and/or hospital
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
