Job Summary
A health information management company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Inpatient Outpatient Emergency Department Coder.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Assign ICD-10-CM, and/or CPT/HCPCS codes as appropriate
- Assign appropriate diagnoses and/or procedures
- Ensure optimal reimbursement of all cases
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Hold at least one of RHIA, RHIT or CCS certifications from AHIMA
- Ability to successfully complete company's screening exam(s) with a passing score
- Ability to abide by the AHIMA Standards of Ethical Coding
- Ability to meet client’s production and quality expectations
