Job Summary
A clinical research company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Inpatient Outpatient Medical Coding Auditor.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Reviewing and analyzing medical records for accurate code selection
- Reviewing physician documentation for coding appropriateness and accuracy in accordance with coding guidelines
- Utilizing an electronic medical record (EMR) and computer-assisted coding (CAC) software or an encoder
Qualifications for this position include:
- Minimum of five (5) years of coding experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of coding auditing experience
- 1+ year of Academic Medical Center experience
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams
- Educated in HIPAA regulations; must maintain strict confidentiality of patient and client information
- Keen attention to detail to maintain 95% corporate quality standards
