Remote Insurance Follow Up Specialist

Job Summary

Detail-oriented and independent, the full-time Remote Insurance Follow Up Representative will manage primary and secondary claims, respond to billing inquiries, and resolve denials while working from home in select states.

Key responsibilities

• Manage primary and secondary claims and ensure timely payment of open claims
• Respond promptly to billing inquiries from patients and insurance companies
• Resolve denials, submit appeals, and work with clinics to address outstanding account balances

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1 year of prior medical receivable collections experience preferred
• Understanding of medical claims processing and insurance systems
• Knowledge of State and Federal rules and regulations related to billing and collections
• Ability to read and understand claim denials/rejections and Explanation of Benefits
