Job Summary
An insurance company is in need of a Remote Insurance Tax Vice President.
Must be able to:
- Ensure that investment in new business will be structured in most tax-advantaged way to avoid adverse income tax issues
- Develop strong relationships with tax attorneys, accountants, consultants and other professional service firms
- Act as a Liaison to other insurance and membership industry tax leaders
Qualifications for this position include:
- Excellent knowledge of GAAP, including ASC 740 principles, income tax provision process, sales and use tax, property tax, etc
- Excellent knowledge of federal tax laws for corporations and partnerships
- Skilled at building and maintaining positive, trusting relationships and driving effective collaboration across organizations
- Significant experience working with external auditors, internal controls, and compliance-related issues
- Comprehensive experience and knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, SOX compliance and SEC reporting
- Proven ability to self-direct and think strategically while also engaging in day-to-day execution detail
