Remote IP Facility Coder III - CCS

Job Summary

Seeking a skilled Remote IP Facility Coder III - CCS, the full-time position will involve coding inpatient and outpatient hospital records, ED records, and Home Health & Hospice records while ensuring compliance with hospital policies and federal regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate coding expertise across multiple service areas or a specific specialty as required by coding leadership
• Review and code medical records using CPT, ICD, and MS-DRG according to UHDDS guidelines and CMS standards
• Resolve pre-bill edits and denials for assigned accounts while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of coding regulations and updates

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must possess one of the following coding certifications at the time of hire: CCS, CCS-P, CPC-H, or RHIT/RHIA, with a requirement to obtain one of the coding credentials within one year of hire
• Three to five years of experience as a coder is required
