Job Summary
An eLearning company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote IT DevOps Engineer.
Must be able to:
- Participate in the design, implementation, and maintenance of Ruby on Rails applications
- Perform daily system monitoring, server resources, systems, and key processes
- Resolve day-to-day operational issues, ensuring effective and timely resolution
Position Requirements Include:
- 2+ years of experience of TDD development in Ruby on Rails
- Knowledge of Ubuntu server and Bash scripting
- Knowledge of SSH, Rsync, Bacula
- Strong Linux system architecture experience and hands-on experience with cloud technologies
- Experience working with and implementing different security practices and protocols
- Familiar with providing desktop support including: web applications, familiarity with Mac OS, Windows, and Ubuntu; antivirus software; computer hardware; troubleshooting; etc.
- Basic server administration duties such as back-up validation, server security patching, parse logs, and callout suspect IPs
- Experience using RSpec or MiniTest and have excellent debugging skills
