Remote Japanese/English Interpreter

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the part-time Japanese/English Interpreter will provide simultaneous interpretation and document translation during key meetings for a global automotive company, focusing on effective communication across diverse teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate simultaneous interpretation for department meetings
• Convert spoken statements and written material between Japanese and English in various settings
• Translate documents quickly and accurately as needed

Required qualifications

• Highly experienced in Japanese and English interpretation and translation in both directions
• Fluent in verbal and written formats for both Japanese and English
• Experience with simultaneous interpretation is required
• Bachelor's Degree with several years of interpretation and translation experience, or at least 5 years of interpretation experience in lieu of a degree
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both languages
