Remote Japanese/English Interpreter

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the part-time Remote Japanese/English Interpreter will provide simultaneous interpretation and translation during key meetings for a global automotive company, focusing on effective communication between diverse teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate simultaneous interpretation for department meetings
• Convert spoken statements and written material between Japanese and English
• Translate documents quickly when required to support team communication

Required qualifications

• Highly experienced in Japanese and English interpretation and translation
• Fluent in verbal and written formats for both languages
• Experience in simultaneous interpretation is required
• Bachelor's degree with several years of relevant experience, or at least 5 years of interpretation experience in lieu of a degree
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both languages
