Remote Japanese/English Interpreter

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the part-time Japanese/English Interpreter and Translator will provide accurate interpretation and translation services during key meetings for a global automotive company, focusing on facilitating communication between diverse teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate simultaneous interpretation for department meetings
• Convert spoken statements and written material between Japanese and English in various settings
• Translate documents accurately and quickly as needed

Required qualifications

• Highly experienced in Japanese and English interpretation and translation, required in both directions
• Fluent in verbal and written formats for both Japanese and English
• Experience in simultaneous interpretation is required
• Bachelor's Degree with a few years of interpretation and translation experience, or at least 5 years of interpretation experience in lieu of a degree
• Ability to ensure smooth and understandable communication in both languages
