Remote Japanese/English Interpreter

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the part-time Japanese/English Interpreter will provide simultaneous interpretation and translation support during key meetings for a global automotive company, focusing on effective communication between cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate simultaneous interpretation for department meetings
• Translate spoken statements and documents from Japanese to English and vice versa
• Adapt to irregular hours as needed to meet project demands

Required qualifications

• Highly experienced in Japanese and English interpretation and translation
• Fluent in both verbal and written formats for Japanese and English
• Experience with simultaneous interpretation is required
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with at least 5 years of interpretation experience
• Ability to ensure clarity and ease of understanding in both languages
