Remote Japanese/English Interpreter

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the part-time Japanese/English Interpreter will provide accurate simultaneous interpretation and translation during key meetings for a global automotive company, with an average of 20 hours per week focused on facilitating effective communication between cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate simultaneous interpretation for department meetings
• Translate spoken statements and documents between Japanese and English in various settings
• Adapt to irregular hours as needed to support project demands

Required qualifications

• Highly experienced in Japanese and English interpretation and translation
• Fluent in both verbal and written formats for Japanese and English
• Experience with simultaneous interpretation is required
• Bachelor's Degree or at least 5 years of interpretation experience in lieu of a degree
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both languages
