Job Summary
CXT Software, a leader in providing automation technology to expedited delivery and distribution businesses, is seeking a Jr. Windows Systems Administrator. The successful candidate will exhibit knowledge in provisioning, maintaining, and automating a Microsoft cloud environment. At CXT Software, the DevOps team is directly responsible for the infrastructure of a majority of our customer base. We are seeking candidates with strong communication skills, ability to quickly learn the environment, and jump right into open projects. What will you do:
Using the SCRUM framework, complete tickets as they are assigned
Be on-call 24/7 to assist with any emergencies that arise due to infrastructure related issues
Migrate, provision, and teardown customer instances as required
Work on a team with other DevOps team members to resolve problems, cross-train, and provide coverage in the event of absence
Using the resources available to the team, create automated processes to enhance the hosted environment
Resolve environment issues with expediency
Constantly working towards a 99.999% up-time throughout the year
Things you will need:
Expert knowledge of Windows Server 2012 and newer
Expert knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2012 and newer
Strong Powershell experience (Testing conducted during interview process)
Strong experience with Active Directory
Experience with Microsoft Azure
Intermediate experience with the following languages: Javascript, PHP, VB, C#
Ability to learn continuously, you will be expected to fill any knowledge gaps within 90 days
Excellent documentation skills
Candidate must have a suitable working location at home that is free from distractions and is equipped with dependable broadband internet access
