Job Summary

A digital security and solutions provider is filling a position for a Remote Labor Relations Specialist in Southern California.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Performing Labor Compliance Program monitoring and enforcement in accordance with DIR accepted practices, Project Labor Agreement (PLA) administration and Jobs Coordination functions
• Presenting labor compliance and PLA requirements at pre-bid and pre-construction meetings for contracts subject to the payment of prevailing wages, community workforce development goals, and other regulatory requirements
• Responding to prevailing wage and PLA questions/concerns that may arise from contractors and construction workers

Qualifications Include:

• Ability to travel to projects as assigned
• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Relations or related field (or equivalent applicable experience) and typically 2+ years of labor relations experience in the construction industry
• Working knowledge of labor relations regulations and processes, as well as a familiarity with industry practices
• Ability to assist in the collection, review and analysis of weekly Certified Payroll Reports (CPRs), and supporting payroll records
• Ability to identify labor compliance and PLA discrepancies/inadequacies relative to the submittals and working with the contractors toward resolution
• Ability to assist on prevailing wage investigations on alleged contractor violations uncovered from CPR reviews, site visits, worker complaints, etc.
