Remote Language Interpreter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Remote Over-the-Phone Interpreter fluent in multiple languages.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide consecutive interpretation services over the phone between English and target language(s)
• Maintain accuracy, clarity, and impartiality during interpretation sessions
• Handle calls related to medical, legal, social services, education, customer service, and government inquiries

Required Qualifications

• Fluency in English and at least one other language
• Minimum of 1 year of professional interpreting experience (preferred)
• Strong understanding of interpreting ethics, standards of practice, and confidentiality
• Reliable internet connection, headset, and a quiet, distraction-free work environment
• Must be authorized to work as an independent contractor in the U.S
