Job Summary
A healthcare company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Lead Coder in Rock Hill.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Assisting the HIM management and coding team with day-to-day coding workflow
- Ensuring accurate ICD-9-CM, ICD-10-CM, and/or CPT code assignment and abstracting
- Monitoring the quality of coding, abstracting and DRG assignment
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Associate’s degree equivalent in medical information technology
- Formal coding education with strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM and DRG assignment
- Minimum of 2 years coding in an acute care setting
- Proficiency with multiple computer systems including Microsoft Office Word and Excel applications
