Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Translating business needs into actionable analytic projects
- Identifying, preparing, and validating datasets used in statistical models and machine learning pipelines
- Building, assessing, comparing, and optimizing models in development and production environments
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Ability to apply data science to real-world problems
- Understanding of limitations and best practices related to model specification, comparison, selection, and deployment
- In-depth knowledge of statistics, probability, and machine learning methodologies
- Ability to provide written and oral interpretation of highly specialized terms and data
- Proficiency with SQL and at least one of Python/R
- MS/Ph.D. in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or other quantitative disciplines
