Job Summary
A telecommunications and IT services firm has a current position open for a Remote Lead Federal Security Operations Center Information Security Engineer.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Representing Federal SOC as a Subject Matter Expert
- Overseeing the response to High severity vulnerabilities
- Coordinating and leading routine vulnerability scanning
Position Requirements Include:
- Undergraduate degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years’ experience in Information Security
- Experience utilizing multiple vulnerability scanning tools and platforms
- Knowledge of current and emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies
- Awareness of NIST Vulnerability Database pertaining to vulnerability severity ratings
- Basic knowledge of programing languages
