Job Summary
A learning institution has a current position open for a Remote Lead Medical Records Coding Specialist.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Assigning diagnosis & procedural codes to inpatient & outpatient medical records to facilitate the reimbursement & data collection
- Training medical record coding specialists
- Auditing coding of records, assuring inpatient & outpatient coding policies & procedures to ensure the integrity of information
Qualifications for this position include:
- 2-Year College Degree
- OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Accredited as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)
- OR Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
- OR Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
- Minimum of two years academic medical coding experience
