Job Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Clinical Operations, the Case Management Team Leader oversees the operations and functions of specified Nurse Case Management staff. This staff may include Field/Telephonic Case Managers as well as clinical/administrative personnel dedicated to specialized nursing programs. Collaborating with the other Clinical Managers and the Executive Team, the Case Management Team Leader ensures that his or her assigned team(s) and program(s) meet the expectations of our company and clients.


Position Logistics: Full-time, non-exempt status, occasional travel required


Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Responsible for the overall delivery of CM services in compliance with local, state, and federal

regulations, as well as the organization's policies and procedures

Direct supervision of Nurses and other staff members, which requires:

o Evaluating individual staff performance, overseeing QA evaluation, ensuring high

quality performance and customer satisfaction

o Forecasting staffing needs based on existing inventory and potential business

growth

o Participating in the interview process to hire new staff, as needed

o Attending regular teleconferences/meetings to review specific customer

data/results and provide input necessary for the specified program

o Planning, coordinating and participating in staff in-services and training seminars

o Completing actual work in case management, as appropriate and needed

o Managing ongoing development of nursing programs, including orientation and

customer training, as needed

o Conducting personnel management meetings (including terminations) with

assigned staff, as needed

Collaborate with administrative staff and other departments to ensure accuracy and timeliness

of case intake

Actively communicate with internal and external customers in a timely and effective manner

Collaborates with the AVP of Case Management Services and VP of Operations to develop

written short term and long term plans to implement and facilitate achievement of department

objectives

Review and manage the quality management plan for the CM department (Approximately 25-

30% of total work time spent on QM)

Communicate with all managers on a regular basis to maintain strong internal working

relationships

See new ways of improving service, and keep abreast of industry changes

Some travel required

Other duties as assigned


Requirements

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferred

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Valid state-appropriate RN license in good standing with no restrictions
Valid CCM in good standing with no restrictions
5-10 years of management experience and exceptional leadership abilities required
Experience in the insurance, workers compensation or related healthcare industries strongly
preferred
Valid Drivers license in good standing
Strong presentation/ public speaking skills required
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; conflict resolution and mediation skills
Ability to foster a collaborative work environment
Must be self-directed and motivated; Must be capable of managing operations independently with minimal direct oversight and supervision on a day-to-day basis
Strong Organization Skills
High comfort level with computers and computer programs (MS Word, MS Excel, Email)
Ability to meet deadlines in a high pressure, time sensitive environment
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
