Job Summary

Teaching remotely on a part-time basis, the Remote Lecturer in Television Studies will lead sections of the course "Understanding Television," focusing on critical analysis of television programming with an emphasis on race, ethnicity, and gender diversity.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead course meetings and facilitate student engagement in television criticism
• Collaborate with faculty supervisors to fulfill course objectives and collect necessary assessment data
• Guide students in analyzing television texts and developing critical writing skills

Required qualifications:

• Advanced Degree (MA or PhD) in Film Studies, English, Theatre, or a related field
• Teaching experience, particularly in introductory writing and information literacy
• Experience with critical analysis and media literacy
