Job Summary
ContentBacon is looking for writers with legal writing experience for our content needs, including but not limited to blogs, white papers, eBooks, long-form content, etc. Our ideal team member should be able to take legal jargon and make it easily understandable for the layperson and must understand best practices for writing in the digital space, what it takes to create content with a specific tone and voice, and knows how to tell a compelling story.
We are looking for writers with experience writing for the following areas:
Real Estate Law
Commercial and residential real estate
buyer/seller representation
HOA/Condo Management
Tax Law
IRS changes post COVID-19
Can talk about COVID changes and how employers and employees have been impacted
Can cover topics from a business or individual perspective
Family Law
Different types of divorce (uncontested vs. contested, etc.)
Understands what happens with children are involved in the divorce process
Knows how to research standards by state
Corporate Law
Corporate compliance
Cyberlaw and the online legal landscape
Mergers and acquisitions
Business bankruptcy
Responsibilities and requirements:
2 years professional writing experience in B2B-focused content or has completed extensive college writing coursework and can hit the ground running.
Collaborate with a team of editors and strategists to ensure content is on point and fits the customers' needs
Take time to understand the customer's business, brand voice, and audience
Create clear, custom content
Writes with SEO in mind and implements best practices for all content created
Follow ContentBacon's process for writing/submitting work
Be deadline-driven and communicative
Submit examples that showcase your work
Open to feedback and view it as an opportunity to grow
Have a strategic mindset - understand the piece of content being written and how it fits into the bigger picture
