Remote Legal Counsel

Job Summary

To support a fully remote legal department, the part-time Legal Counsel will manage contract negotiations, provide compliance support for Know Your Business procedures, and assist in policy development while conducting legal research on legislative developments.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements with payment service providers, software vendors, and third-party suppliers
• Support Know Your Business procedures, including verification and onboarding of corporate partners
• Assist in the preparation and implementation of internal corporate policies and compliance frameworks

Required qualifications

• Strong analytical skills to interpret complex legal texts and identify potential risks
• Business-level understanding of the cryptocurrency, blockchain, and fintech sectors
• Foundational knowledge of European licensing regimes, including MiCA, MiFID, and EMI/PSD
• Good understanding of international AML regulations and the Crypto Travel Rule
