Job Summary
A non-profit organization specializing in K-12 education is filling a position for a Remote Legal Senior Director.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- In collaboration with others, design and advance strategic growth initiatives related to sales and partnership strategy
- Monitor state curriculum adoption timelines, RFPs and emerging policy and funding implications to inform state-level partnership and growth strategy
- Provide strategic advisement and thought-partnership to business line leaders in support of cohesion and synergy across the company's business strategy
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Deep belief in the genius in every child and an expanded definition of student success that includes but is beyond academic achievement
- Demonstrated commitment to a culture of belonging and equity across gender, race, class, orientation, and disability
- Juris Doctor with 5+ years of legal practice and an understanding of intellectual property matters, including Creative Commons licensing
- Experience with nonprofits or education organizations preferred, including pro bono or other volunteer capacities
- Ability to work cross-functionally and across various stakeholders to build common ground and advance strategic initiatives
- Mature leader who can hold complexity and clarity in speaking and writing
