Job Summary
Providing interpreting services for students who are d/Deaf or hard of hearing, the part-time Remote Intermittent Interpreter will ensure appropriate accommodations in academic settings and public university programming, working remotely with flexible hours that may include evenings and weekends.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver interpreting services for students or prospective students in various academic and programming settings
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to facilitate effective communication and accommodations
- Adapt to varying shifts and schedules as needed to meet the demands of the role
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or NAD-RID certification
- Completion of an Interpreter Training Program from an accredited institution
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and mastery of English language skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Successful completion of a background check
