Job Summary
A technology company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Linux System Administrator in Los Angeles.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Monitoring, maintaining and updating our Linux/OmniOS server infrastructure
- Verifying and monitoring cloud and on premises environments
- Acting as the primary maintainer of our on-premises data center
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Requires visits to the LA data center and occasional travel to the corporate office located in Bloomington, Illinois
- Background in RHEL/CentOS systems administration
- Experience with automation and configuration management
- Scripting experience in languages such as PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby
- Experience racking and cabling servers in a physical data center environment
