Remote Mainframe COBOL Developer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Remote Mainframe COBOL Developer will manage daily system operations, troubleshoot production issues, and develop automated programs to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily system operations, ensuring performance and stability
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement improvements
• Develop and maintain automated programs based on defined requirements

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Mainframe technologies, specifically COBOL
• Proven ability to serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams
• Experience with Easytrieve, JCL, and Tivoli scheduling
• Familiarity with JIRA and diagramming tools such as Visio and Miro
• Ability to work in Linux/command line environments
