Job Summary
Supporting enterprise zOS Mainframe environments, the full-time Remote Mainframe Developer will provide operational support, install and maintain systems, and manage output management systems while working during US Central business hours and participating in on-call rotations.
Key responsibilities
- Provide daily operational support for mainframe components and software to ensure optimal system health and availability
- Install, test, document, and maintain zOS mainframe systems within a sysplex environment
- Manage and troubleshoot BMC Control-D output management systems, including report definitions and web access
Required qualifications
- 4-7 years' experience in a mainframe support role
- Moderate knowledge of z architecture mainframe systems, JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, and BMC Control-D
- Proficiency in at least one mainframe programming language: Assembler, COBOL, REXX, or SAS
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure and disaster recovery concepts
- Commitment to information security and compliance with policy standards
