Remote Opportunity

A prominent, stable, and innovative healthcare consulting firm's research and advisory team are seeking a Manager, Commercial Managed Care Division, to join their team! Our client is looking for an individual with significant experience with the SUS commercial healthcare payor world to assist with diligence projects. These projects will include developing and compiling payor information on reimbursement, utilization, medical management, and other trends that may impact payor strategies in both local and national markets across a wide variety of provider areas. This opportunity is an exciting role for someone who would like to use their knowledge and contacts within the payor world to expand their professional portfolio by learning and getting involved with capital markets decision-makers in healthcare. This is position may be available as a remote opportunity, although they have offices in Washington, CDC and New York, New York.



Our client provides a spectrum of services across the healthcare services continuum. Their research and advisory team provide strategic policy analysis, prognostications, and longer-range advisory diligence on developing federal, state and commercial payor related matters to institutional investors and healthcare corporates across the SUS. They also work with C-suite level professionals at healthcare companies on assignments ranging from portfolio analysis to assessment of regulatory and legislative risk to projects geared toward advising on a product or geographic expansion strategy.



Responsibilities:

Assist in completing diligence assignments in a wide variety of healthcare subsectors across a range of payors around the country, usually within a 2-3 week timeframe
Assemble findings in a thorough but concise and clear written presentation targeted for investor and corporate client audiences
Work on expanding the firm's payor network across the country to increase diligence capabilities
Research and write marketing notes that showcase the firm's commercial payor thought leadership on a range of healthcare services sectors
Assist with research to respond to client inquiries or to participate in calls with prospective clients, often with short notice


Requirements:

5+ years of experience working within the US commercial payor world, including provider contracts, rates, and audits. Regional or national insurance company experience a plus as is experienced in Medical Management or Clinical Operations
Strong comfort level in initiating contact with knowledgeable individuals from the payor world to help assess payor and reimbursement trends
Strong payor and provider network and applicable contacts regionally as well as nationally
Excellent research ability, as well as oral and written communication skills. Must be able to create a solid presentation reporting assessment of diligence findings
Proven ability to get things done and desire to help grow a business
Strong follow-up, influencing skills
Ability to manage multiple complex issues in a fast-paced environment
Experience working in MSMS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Must have strong attention to detail
