Job Summary

Providing effective telephonic interpreting, the independent contractor Remote Mandarin Interpreter will handle on-demand calls and facilitate language communication for the Limited English Proficient community in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide effective telephonic remote interpreting services
• Answer inbound calls in a timely manner while ensuring superior customer service
• Adhere to the Code of Professional Conduct and all relevant policies and procedures

Required qualifications

• Full fluency in both English and Mandarin
• Proficient with technology, including web-based platforms and Microsoft Word
• Access to a quiet and secure interpreting space
• 1+ years of professional interpreting experience preferred
• Industry-specific certifications or training preferred (e.g., CMI, CCHI)
