Remote Mandingo Interpreter

Job Summary

Providing effective telephonic interpreting services, the Remote Mandingo Interpreter will handle on-demand calls to facilitate communication for the Limited English Proficient community while working as an independent contractor.

Key responsibilities

• Provide effective telephonic remote interpreting
• Answer inbound calls in a timely manner
• Adhere to the Code of Professional Conduct and maintain confidentiality

Required qualifications

• Full fluency in both English and Mandingo
• 1+ years of professional interpreting experience preferred
• Technology proficient with web-based platforms and Microsoft Word
• An interpreting space that is quiet, secure, and free from outside noises
• Industry-specific certifications/trainings preferred (e.g., CMI, CCHI)
