Job Summary

An independent publisher has an open position for a Remote Marketing Assistant in the Greater Denver Area.

Must be able to:

• Work with authors to determine their specific marketing needs and goals
• Research the target market, determining marketing strategies appropriate for the client’s target market
• Make phone calls to media or bookstores on the client’s behalf

Qualifications Include:

• Marketing experience – particularly in the publishing industry a plus
• Strong, proactive and timely, relationship-based sales and customer service skills via telephone and email
• Creative and critical thinking skills required to address the unique nature of each client’s particular project circumstances
• Organizational and project management skills necessary to facilitate multiple clients simultaneously
• Proficient computer, problem-solving, written, and oral communication skills
• Availability to communicate with clients and potential clients during regular business hours
