Job Summary
A consumer electronics company has a current position open for a Remote Mechanical Acoustic Engineer in San Francisco.
Must be able to:
- Design and develop of new hardware vibroacoustic modules and methods of integration
- Develop and execute ongoing reliability testing and analysis programs for design modifications and failures
- Design and fabricate custom mechanical and electrical test setups
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Bachelors degree (Masters or higher preferred) in mechanical engineering, or
- Physics discipline with relevant engineering experience
- Experience in vibration, acoustics and thermal systems
- Proficient in FEA and/or acoustic simulation software (e.g. COMSOL)
- Proficient in CAD for designing/modelling/reviewing (e.g. CATIA, SolidWorks)
- Ability to design and fabricate custom mechanical and electrical test setups
