Remote Mechanical Designer

Job Summary

Supporting the refinement and production-focused updates of vehicle design, the remote Mechanical Designer will manage detailed mechanical design updates, focusing on manufacturability, performance, and integration while utilizing SolidWorks.

Key responsibilities

• Support design updates for DFM, weight reduction, and overall product improvement
• Modify and develop components in SolidWorks, including machined parts, sheet metal, and composites
• Conduct GD&T analysis and support tolerance stack-ups for critical interfaces

Required qualifications

• Five or more years of mechanical design experience using SolidWorks
• Strong experience with machined parts, sheet metal, or plastic components
• Experience updating existing designs rather than only clean-sheet design work
• Working knowledge of GD&T and basic tolerance analysis
• Exposure to aerospace, aviation, or UAS systems is preferred
